Aging Couple

I see you now—
years and years gone by,
our differences once challenges,
now treasures we hold close.

With each season,
time draws us nearer,
better now than before.

Our hands meet,
I trace the lines of your face—
just once more.
We embrace.

Thoughts about this poem:

When a couple grows old together, they grow close and they see each other more clearly, they love more deeply.
