Human Resources should do what is right not what is expedient!

Human Resources can be the false face of management or even the false face of the employees. The goal should be to do what is right, not practical. To accomplish that, this department should have standards and guidelines and be willing to hold the company managers, owners, and employees accountable.

Holding management and owners accountable is sometimes tricky, but the key to this s to have rules that comply clearly with legal guidelines. When an HR department is just a management front, it loses its ability to be of value.
