People vary in many ways: physically, mentally, personality, knowledge, and experience. Each person has knowledge, skills, and experience to draw on. Human factors ensure a good 'fit' between people, the equipment they use, the tasks they carry out, and the environment in which they work. Human factors are also concerned with understanding and managing the capabilities and limitations of people.
If your goal is finding the right job, or a dream job, or a career that will be fulfilling and you will be happy, then you have to understand your strengths and weaknesses well enough to allow you to understand what is needed to be a good fit. That means you need to have a high degree of self-awareness and realize you are still intact and complete. We must also have self-compassion because it is easy to be our own harshest critic, leading to feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt. We must treat ourselves with the same kindness and understanding we would offer a friend. The journey towards growth isn't easy, but it is always worth it.
