If you want to get a yes to your question find someone to ask who is authorized to say yes

Eleanor Roosevelt said: “Never allow a person to tell you no who doesn’t have the power to say yes.” You probably think I put this quote here to motivate you to take action and use it to inspire those searching for jobs.

Ok, that is a good enough reason, but it also illustrates the vital principle of networking. Eleanor Roosevelt understood this. If you ask people to hire you or help you and they don't have the power to say yes, you did a poor job of networking and probably wasted your time.

It takes time to prepare to put yourself in front of that person who is more than happy to say yes to your requests. Using the “informational interview” and asking your connections the right questions on where to start will take you to the "right" person who can say yes!
