“Do Musicians Retire? What Happens When Music Runs Out?” This post’s question and title are a starting point for bigger questions. It seems obvious that the word music is a metaphor for what each of us has some passion for. A person might have a passion for golf, art, technology, family, religion, or any of an infinite variety of areas of focus.
Passion is about emotions, motivation, and what makes us feel good. Passion suggests that you “do what you love.” Purpose is the reason or why behind what we do. Where passion can be all over the place, purpose is much more focused.
