Infinity: Does this word evoke a Positve Response?

Although infinity is limitless, it can still be measured in various sizes. The positive numbers (those greater than 0) and negative numbers (those less than 0) can be considered infinite and equal in length. But what happens when you combine these sets?
When two negative numbers are added together, the result becomes positive. Similarly, when two positive numbers are added, the effect is also positive. Can combining these sets result in zero?
