Quotes, Thoughts, & Scriptures, all help to connect, but they need to be relevant to your need.

Writing is a direct path to shape your subconscious mind. Keep a journal ( See Tools Tab) If not a journal then a notebook. Write down something uplifting, & the good things that happen each day. Write yourself a letter about what you want to do to be better.  Read it throughout the day or at the beginning or end. Include quotes, thoughs, goals, or something you are trying to memorize.

Why do you need to get to your subconscious? Because it is controlling your conscious mind.

An example of this is shown when you walk through a room and then after asked what you saw?  After you answer the best you can you can be hypnotized and asked again. You will be able to remember things a lot more things you didn't even know you saw when first asked. Perhaps the number of tiles in the ceiling? The names of the faces on all the magazines on the table, or whose pictures were in the picture frames.   The point is, your subconscious mind decides for you what goes to the conscious, and what doesn't. It lets you remember seeing what it thinks you want to remember.  If you don't look for the good or you have bad habits then your subconscious has decided for you what it will feed you. This is like the story of the good wolf and the bad wolf in the post "Does loving what you do attract creativity.

You want to be choosing good thoughts and it may take some work to change your subconscious.  Writing things down and memorizing are direct paths to the subconscious.

Fill you mind with what you want in there.
