Black & White photos seem have a timelessness about them. Light and shadows become more pronounced. Perhaps they envoke memories?
Wow, I love the use of black and white in this picture.
When I look at the picture I begin thinking about William Faulkner. He wrote "As I Lay Dying". It was a study in language for me. I found rhythm in words and dialect.
Seeing this picture takes me to the story as well as the author. The contrast of light and darkness brings feeling and a sense of timelessnes into this picture.
