Core Values are the guiding principles that dictate behavior and action. They can help people to know what is right from wrong.
Core Values can come from religion or parents but they don't become values until that penetrate.
As a 11 year old boy many of us were Boy Scouts. We learned the Scout Law. We accepted the principals of Scouthing (The Scout Law and the Oath) as core values. These values are expected to be accepted and stick for a life time.
Unlike pyramids and other representation of values each of these stand on their own.
