Past posts on "What Matters" have focused on core values and the purpose is to suggest that those values be considered as we write. Today's post is also about a core value as expressed by a valued reader. It is a good example of how we can frustrate others crossing the line on values that might not have even occurred to us.
Opinion: (from a regular Blog reader)
"I suppose it all started at the beginning of time. Noah must've thought SHE was a lovely ark. I was disturbed decades ago when I saw I sign on something in a store that said, "Buy Me!" I thought it was stupid. Then all the kids had to start writing "Wash Me" on dirty cars.
Now we have a banana stating it is a banana?
All this anthropomorphizing is getting out of hand! Drives me nuts! "
OK, THANK YOU LOYAL BLOG READER FOR THE FEEDBACK
I confess the banana didn't write who "she" was by herself? Someone helped?
In addition I am convinced that the dog on our left below is expressing his opinion much like an human eye roll. The other 2 dogs might just be goofballs but they seem to have a lot of love for their owners. It is clear that two of these dogs just loves his owner more than anything.
The banana did have an actual comment. She said:
"Hey, stop anthropomorphizing me, I am just a banana!"
