Today I wonder where we find wisdom and how do we know if we find it? The world certainly has not progressed to a point where this isn't important, obviously.

Just having a degree isn't the answer, that would be too simple. Knowledge does comes from schools, or just studying, but more is needed.  Experience and knowledge might be what wisdom is, but what about feelings?

Does how you feel about the experiences you have make a difference? Are consequences part of what is needed to gain wisdom?  Is just understanding, rather than experiencing potential consequences, enough? That seems like it could help avoid some pain at least.

A well-known quote, “Nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care”, seems to imply that sincerity added to knowledge is of value.

The book of Proverbs has a lot to say about wisdom and knowledge, suggesting that wisdom comes from God. This quote seems to sum it up very well.

Proverbs 4:7  Wisdom is the principal thing: therefore get wisdom, and with all thy getting, get understanding.
